  • How do you get paid?
We receive a Marketing Fee or an Introducer Fee direct from the Firm or Product Provider for introducing your business to their Product or Service. We will not ever charge you Fees directly, nor will our Fees be added to the base fees of our Network of Professionals' Fees.
  • What Services can you provide for other Introducers and Businesses?
For Businesses and Financial Service Providers: We can provide access to a range of Products and Services to compliment your existing offering to your clients, such as: - Pension Schemes - QROP's, ORSO's, IRA's, SIPP's and SSAS's - Estate Planning Solutions (UK and Overseas) - Funeral Plans (UK Only) - Regular Savings Plans (Certain Jurisdictions Only) - ISA Qualifying Products (UK Only) - Asset Backed Loan Notes - Insurance Policies (UK and Overseas) - Business Financing / Business Financial Services - Claims Management Solutions - UK & Overseas If you are Authorised and Regulated in your relevant jurisdiction, you may be able to provide the Advice yourself to your Clients - If you are not, then we can provide access to such professionals.
  • Is the Property Bond Safe?
The Portfolio Property Bond is an Un-Regulated Product, and as such, is only available to HNW and Sophisticated Investors in the UK. The Company has many completed Projects, and a track record of paying Investors back circa £60m in funds over the last few years. To view the Track Record, Completed Projects and the Structure of the Bond, please certify yourself and register your details, and you will be provided with this information. Once this has been done, you will be able to speak to an Agent and ask any questions or queries directly. Any Investment carries a Risk, and this Bond is no different - Past Performance is no indicator to furture performance.
  • Are the Products covered by the Relevant Compensation Schemes?
If you have enquired about a Regulated Product or Service, and you have been passed over to the relevant Firm who is Authorised and Regulated in the jurisdiction (like the UK for example) then there will be procedures in place for you to Claim, or receive Recompense if the product fails, or if you have received poor advice. In the UK, all Regulated Firms offer Products and Services that are covered by the FSCS and the FOS - Other Jurisdictions will vary on their Rules - So best to check before arranging or proceeding with any Product or Service if you are unsure. With regards to Alternative or Un-Regulated Investments, these are NOT covered by the FSCS in the UK, and are not covered by other Regulators, in other Jurisdictions. This does not mean however, there is no recourse should anything go wrong - It is just more complicated to do, and usually is a lengthy process in comparison.
  • What Services can you provide for me? A Client?
If you are based in the UK, and you need Mortgages, Life Insurance, Pension and Investment Advice, we can refer you over to our Network of Professionals, who carry the necessary Authorisations and are Regulated. Estate and Funeral Planning Services are available, depending whether you live in the UK or Overseas. If you are Overseas, or moving Overseas, we can refer to our Network who provide the Advice you may need to re-allocate or review your current Products and Services. If you are a High Net Worth Individual* or a Sophisticated Investor*, we will be able to Introduce you directly to the Property Portfolio Bond we have available. *You must certify that you are HNW or Sophisticated before information about the Bond can be released to you (UK Consumers Only)
  • Are you a Regulated Firm?
No, we are not a Regulated Firm in the UK or Overseas, nor do we claim to be. We are Financial Intermediaries, with connections to Financial Institutions, in the UK and Overseas, that are Regulated, as well as Un-Regulated. If Financial Advice is required for you to take out a Product or Service, our Network of Professionals may be able to provide that for you in the UK or Overseas, as they will be Authorised and Regulated in the relevant jurisdictions in which they operate. Naturally, you are of course free to seek Independent Financial Advice yourself, wherever you are situated. Some Products which are Un-Regulated, will not be able to be Advised upon, so you will have to review the Due Diligence yourself, and decide if it is right for you - This Avenue is only available for Sophisticated and High Net Worth Individuals in the UK (Overseas Rules are different)
  • Aren't Un-Regulated Products basically Scams?
Whilst it is true that in the past, there have been Un-Regulated Products that have failed, and indeed turned out to be a front for Criminal Activities, there are also products that are not, and are completely Transparent, Legitimate and Highly Successful. The nature of these Companies is they are often "start up" Companies, or they are small to medium size - As such, it is possible that they are exposed to more potential risks than much larger and financially healthier companies. Un-Regulated Products are considered to be "Speculative" as they are often in such things as Loan Notes or Private Equity - Typically, they are not "Liquid" meaning it isn't as easy to get your money out once it is in them - It typically has to go the Term of the Loan Note or Bond. Whilst every effort has been made to provide as much Due Diligence as possible, this should be no substitute for your own Research. We provide all the Due Diligence that is available on the Products we have available, to HNW and Sophisticated Investors, for them to make their own mind up on if they wish to invest or not. Any Products or Services that Cowper Angus are connected with, we do so because we are satisfed with our Due Diligence, and that the Product or Service is Legitimate, Viable and Transparent - With a good Track Record.
  • I'm Re-Patriating to the UK - Can you help me move my Products and Services?
Again, depending on the Product or Service, we can help you with that. We have access to Firms who are able to make this Transition for you.
  • I'm moving abroad to live...can you help me move my Products and Services?
Depending on the Jurisdiction, and the Products and Services in question, yes we can! We have a Network of Professionals that can help you with that transition.
  • Who are Cowper Angus?
We are an International Firm of Financial Services Intermediaries, who use our Professional Networks to bring Financial Solutions to Consumers and Businesses, wherever they are situated.
